The mission of this ministry is to provide women who have Back Stories  and the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ, to share their stories so other victims can be given hope and help as they seek healing.

 

We promise to:

· Be honest as we transparently share our “back stories”  and God’s healing power in our lives.

· Keep the stories as clean as possible.

· Share the raw, ugly emotions which may include anger, doubt, confusion, self-blame, etc...that we felt through the process of healing to help other women who may feel those same things.

· Keep all victim’s names confidential, unless the woman wishes to use her real name. 

· Keep all abuser’s names confidential.  Honor their rights and privacy.

· NEVER judge the women* who share their stories of sexual abuse.  No matter what the woman did, she did not deserve to be sexually abused!

· Connect women who have back stories and have found healing to women who need the support of a sister and mentor.

· Trust in the power of Holy Spirit to bring healing to women who believe and call upon our Lord Jesus Christ.

· Use the Bible as the powerful Word of Truth in our stories, even when we once were deceived by the enemy.

· Get professional or pastoral help if we find that sharing our stories stirs up emotional pain that has not been healed.

· Report all cases of child abuse to the legal authorities if a child under the age of 18 shares her story with the leadership of this ministry.

 

*  Although, we understand that men and boys can also be victims of sexual abuse, this website is devoted to women and teen girls.  If you are a man who has been sexually abused, we advise you to seek counseling.  If you are the mother of son who has been abused, we invite you to share the story here, as your story may minister to other mothers.
